Linux in education - 20/03/2000

The Bastille Linux project aims at creating a secure out-of-the-box Linux solution. Check it out if you plan to install Linux.

Also on Freshmeat an interesting editorial about Linux and education. It points out that if Linux is already a good solution for a server file (as it is reliable, cheap and serves Mac, Pc and Netware files) and an Internet Server or Gateway, it is not that much an obvious choice for everyday-usage, where Mac and Windows are still strong. Read it and comment there (or here)...
One thing that this editorial forgot is that soon, Delphi will be available on Linux and will allow applications to be developped in a "Visual" way. Check Borland's site for more information.
