I can't find a python lib for basic cryptoanalysis (while googling for it, I found this and therefore that... time to get my Logotron clone out of the closet!)
My first encounter of the Logotron was in a computer mag as a basic source code. It has been created after watching Jean-Pierre Petit ,philosopher, linguist, cartoonist, and chief hoaxster pretending on TV (inTemps X) to have a wonderful word creator with automatic semantic analysis.
