Public Privacy, Private Publicity
Canadians love their US neighbours.
Cartoon Networks Awards or how to win some money if I was a gifted animator.
And no way to be the next Pynchon:
7. You agree to provide the name and biography of all those involved in the production of the animation and grant Turner the right to use such information in promoting the animation and the Awards. You agree, and will use reasonable efforts, to procure that other participants in the animation agree to take part in reasonable publicity for the Awards as requested by Turner.
Another old media description of the weblog. Weblogging, or blogging, has emerged as a genuinely new literary/journalistic form. The narrative structure of a weblog is that of a daily diary. The style is one of commentary -- that is, a weblog refers to the readable Web, focuses attention on selected items, and tells a story about those items from a particular point of view.
So I need to make a fiction that uses links inside a daily diary. KC ?
I'm not sure my browsing habits and personal tastes are the same as my medical records. I can have my medical records on a smartcard, always with me, like an ID. No need for these records to be in a central database. (and since that, without my ID, you won't be able to indentify me, if my smartcard gets destroyed, there is a big chance that my ID will be destroyed too... so the central DB is useless. Of course, I will have an encrypted backup on my personnal PC.)
I like serendipity. I like to wander in the library to find a book, might it be bad. Plus I still doubt that a selected panel of 5000 peoples will accurately predict that I like Manu Dibango AND Randy Newman AND Shakira AND Trio Esperanca but that I disliked the last album from the FLC. I like news about Cambodia, but I might find that specific news about North Korea interesting too.
I want to be my own niche market. That is what Internet gives me: freedom of information, a variety of point of view on the same event which often is enough to have an almost impartial presentaion of the fact.
And Privacy is true or false: the concept of relative privacy is just a marketing concept. Client is KING. I do what I want. I don't need your suggestion. I don't need your filters. Money can't be trusted. Hence any advice for a for-profit company can't be trusted. I don't need spam. I don't need a new diploma, a smaller dick or to see Debby naked under her shower. All I need is directories.
