Headscarves not allowed in Singaporean schools
THE parents of three Muslim girls in Primary 1 have up to Friday to decide if they want their daughters to remain in national schools.
If they do, they must stop sending their daughters to school wearing the Islamic-style headscarf, or tudung, which is not part of the school uniform.
If the girls continue to cover their heads, they will be suspended from school.

India and IT: Like France and Wine

As a software executive in India, he says, "you want Indian IT to stand for something so that you don't have to worry about China or the Philippines undercutting you on cost. The only way we can compete is to move away from the dimension of cost to other areas where we have the advantage."
