Comments about a book on blogs (I wonder if it will be translated or localized?)
Blogger (outside of 3rd party stuff) still does not support RSS, and MT and othershave just begun to add them as blogging gains critical mass. There is still no other blogging-aggregating-syndicating combo in the market other than Radio that I know of.

Answering Blogger(outside of 3rd party stuff) still does not support RSS, and MT and othershave just begun to add them as blogging gains critical mass.
[Anil Dash ] was generating RSS .91 in Blogger Pro a year and a half ago. MT's supported it since a very early version, as well. Their audiences have significantly less demand for that feature; There's no need to syndicate I hate my teacher/So-and-so is cute posts.
Obviously, there is more to blogs than my teacher is so cute diary wannabe:
K-Logs as part of a Knowledge Management Infrastructure
Blogs in the ClassRoom, part I and part II (via SIT)
The other day in the K5 queue, there was an rejected article about changing Scoop templates so K5 would validate and if everyone more agreed that validation was a good thing (since valid XML can be transformed with XSLT or groked correctly by parsers for a specific usage), one comment was pointing out that validation was much easier to achieve than a valid markup usage: title as Hn, P, QUOTE and BLOCKQUOTE used correctly...
Of course, it is not the state-of-mind of most webwriters who crave for Word™-like fonctionnality (i.e. using visual cues to specify the structure) instead of using markups and have the visuals automagically CSS-rendered the best way: explicit tagging is often perceived as going back to a non-WYSIWYG world, which is implicitely seen as difficult and non user friendly.
In the beginning was the command line. I'm looking for a french translation of that, and I can't find it.
The KISS principle: Keeping it Simple and Stupid. Nothing to do with having makeup and singing I was made for loving you
Another ode to HyperCard (via Brett Morgan's Insanity Weblog)
I learned to script in HyperCard in 1984, and every bit of programming that I now know stems from the rush I got when I realized that I could tell a computer what to do.
Innocents Abroad is a new blog from Geneva dishing the insider dirt on the ICRC and other humanitarian organizations (dixit InstaPundit)
Innocents Abroad is international in scope, seeking readers and contributors from around the world (we’ll see about readers- for now our contributors are based in North America and Europe). By calling forth voices from many nations, IA will highlight not only the universal nature of liberalism, but also the importance of the individual nation-state as the necessary crucible of liberty. By taking this approach we hope to foster cross-border communication among those thinkers and writers that tend to be less focused on trans-national issues, and provide a partial antidote to the multilateralist monopoly of the adversaries of classical liberalism.
tkblog 2.01 is a cross-platform standalone blogging application written in Tcl/Tk. It creates a baked site. Good!
